Our Story

The company was founded in Lund in 1956 by Gun and Elvir Håkansson, who started out manufacturing aluminium blinds and roller blinds, with direct sales through two own stores in southern Sweden.
At the first generation change, the company was passed on to their daughter Ann Idstein, who from the 1970s had worked on building her own business. She moved to Frankfurt am Main in connection with architectural studies and later began to import her parents’ products to Germany. During the coming decades, Ann gradually developed her own collection of products and built up a dealer network in Europe during the process. In the 1990s, after Ann Idstein returned to Sweden, new collaborations with external designers were initiated and the company concentrated more on developing its own unique collection. This chosen path has characterized the company’s work over the past 20 years.
Ann’s son Oscar has been in the company since 2006 and he took over the business in 2015. Oscar continues to push it further in the same spirit, focusing on customized products for interior projects all over Europe.
